Frank Cusumano grew up in Missouri in St. Louis & comes from a Sicilian – Italian heritage. In fact, his grandparents were immigrants from Sicily.
He is the son of parents – Frank Cusamano Sr. (father) and Mary Grace Cusumano (mother). Frank Sr. passed away in 2007, at the age of 86.

Frank has many siblings – Brothers Joseph, Mark, Doug Cusumano, and sisters Ellen Cusumano and Laura Cusumano Silva.
The Cusumano family owns the iconic restaurant – Kemoll’s, which has been in St. Louis for close to 100 years.
Frank’s brother Mark now manages Kemoll’s. Mark was previously married to a woman named Lisa Komorek, who is now married to a chef named Steve Komorek, who used to work at the same restaurant.

Frank had also wanted to pursue a career as a reporter since his days as an athlete in high school.
During college, he worked at KMOX as an intern. He was mentored by a well-known broadcaster named Jay Randolph.

Later, he spent two years in Kingston, Tennessee, before moving to Lexington, Kentucky, where he worked for six years.
He spent some time writing for ‘Sports Plus’ on the KSDK Sunday Show with the help of anchor Mike Bush. At the time, he only made a total of $100 per story!
In 1993, Mike Bush decided to offer him a chance to return to St. Louis, where he has since spent years working his way up to become a well-regarded sports journalist.

Frank has spent his career covering major sporting events such as the World Series and various NCAA basketball matches.
He has also worked as a host for KFNS’s Pressbox radio show for over two decades.
Cusumano was named the sports director of the ‘5 on Your Side’ show in 2016 after having worked on the program as a sportscaster since 1993.

I am trying to reach Frank Cusumano. He interviewed my nephew Jonathan Connelly in 2012 at St Mary’s High School. Jonathan broke the highest-scoring games in their history. Johnathan overdosed on Dec 11, 2021. We are having a golf tournament to benefit drug addicts and their families. We are wondering if he could be our honorary guest for this special event. If you could respond to this I would appreciate it

Can you verify a story I heard about Bob Gibson. On a Sunday, Bob waxed his car in Forest Park and pitched and won first game for Cardinals and then pitched and won second game of a double header. Only Gibby could do!
