  1. HI MISS MAGGIE. WHY DO THEY WALK THE HORSES CLOCKWISE IN THE PADDOCK BEFORE EACH RACE (Belmont At THE BIG *A * ❓❓

  2. I absolutely love America’s Day at the races! In between meets, I feel sad. The whole team (Maggie, Gary, Acacia, Andy, Greg, Lafeete (sp. ?), Rich, Jonathan and everyone else on the team) are awesome!!!

I love how everyone is different and brings a different perspective to the table. I never miss a show. Thank you!

  3. Ronald J Werner

I love Maggie, an all-rounder woman. She is beautiful, smart and seems to be a great mother and wife. She is a very knowledgeable horse women.

  4. I agree! She, obviously, knows her horses but, someone has to teach her to speak. Her comments are filled with disjointed remarks, and when she’s through, I find myself wondering what she just said. Maggie, you are a terrible speaker.

  5. Leo Cornelius

    Ms Wolfendale,

I enjoy your comments year round, and in particular, those made from Saratoga, my native countryside. I am an aged veteran of saratoga meets, sat in generational box hand me downs until NYRA changed the system, appropriately so.

All this is neither here nor there as to why I am writing this. Tuning in today to catch the ‘Hopefull’, I heard two comments made by the same commentator: I would never bet on one of his horses’ and ‘italian=americans’, a reference to their exuberance!!

A commentator commenting on a particular, ie., jockey, horse, etc. is a fair game, but a commentator dismissing an entire stable, trainer, or ownership, I think is over the line, and unacceptable. The obnoxious comment about Italian Americans speaks for itself. It doesn’t belong in the broadcaster’s jargon. Sometimes old timers are just around too long, no matter their pretend analytical expertise.

Thank you for reading this…Saratoga’s rep is always at stake.

  6. Hi again, I just left a post and I did not mention Richie Migliore,, he is an amazing asset to the program, love the stories love the insight, one of my favorite stories was about left Bank, when Richie was about to pass him coming down the stretch and left Banks eyeball just turned and looked at Richie like a shark, and left bank said NO, not today, lol, Richie just has so much inside from all his experience, I can listen to him all day, years ago I took a tour of the barn at Belmont, where Keiran McLaughlin was keeping it’s tricky, a great horse, When Richie saw the tour he came over and spoke to us for about 15 minutes, great stuff thanks, Rich!!!

  7. Love the show, I love horses and horse racing. I used to have a hard time watching the horses, I found the show boring, but now with Maggie and Andy, Tom Wolf, and Acacia, the show is really really enjoyable, I watch it whenever I can, thanks for all your efforts and your work with retired thoroughbreds.

  8. I love watching Maggie on race days. She is very knowledgeable and a pleasure to hear her comments, especially Saratoga. Paddock comments are very informative and I have learned a lot from her. Fox network is lucky to have Maggie on their team.

  9. Michael Sousa

Love watching Maggie Wolfendale…not only is she extremely beautiful but I love listening to her on her horse racing knowledge, plus adorable humor. She is such a gem. Her husband is one lucky man.

  10. Both Maggie and Acacia are beautiful and their comments are even insightful. However, listening to their speech patterns is actually painful. They sound like they are trying to syllabify each word…it’s harsh and jarring similar to a scratched record. Think a little bit of coaching would be very welcome to all listeners.

  11. The Fryer Family

Our family is a huge fan of yours.

Maggie’s excellent analysis and insights have made us devoted viewers of “Saratoga Live” and we are always disappointed when she is absent from the paddock. She and her husband, Tom Morley, are wonderful spokespersons for the sport and for the crucial subject of thoroughbred aftercare.

We thank both of them for their unbelievably hard work, professionalism and passion.

  12. The entire crew of the television broadcast should be applauded for having the most informative congenial and competent people in their field. Their competitors lack all of those things. Kudos and I hope you have everybody in front and behind the cameras signed up for long-term contracts it would be a shame to break up such a great team.

  13. Maggie seems so in-the-know about the horses’ conformation, build for turf or dirt. How did she gain this knowledge? Her pedigree analysis is also intriguing. I don’t see any training regarding these issues in her educational background.

  14. Margaret A Ross

Enjoy your commentaries & interviews every Saturday on Fox Sports. Saratoga is my favorite race track. Thank you for helping me become interested in horse racing. I am a fan of all sports. Irad & Jose Ortiz are my favorite jockeys. Just watched Bella Sophia win. Good Luck & look forward to seeing you every Saturday.

  15. I love listening to Maggie’s commentary in the paddock and the winner’s circle. She is so personable and insightful with her comments. She is the biggest reason I love watching America’s Day at the Races.
