- Rick Domeier has been a Senior Program Host on the QVC show Today’s Special Value for well over 25 years. He is also currently a Creative Producer there. QVC is a TV shopping network that has become a world leader in global video commerce.
- Talented, energetic, and full of positivity, Domeier was said to be “A whirlwind of energy in the Studio” by Business 2.0 Magazine, despite the fact that he normally works very late hours for his TV shows.
- He is also the author of the book Can I Get a Do-Over, a heartfelt book inspired by his personal journey & the stories of people who take on “second chances and life makeovers.”
- Domeier married his long-time sweetheart Amy Domeier and has two kids – sons Josh and Nick. He currently resides in Gladwyne, Pennsylvania.

- When still living in Minnesota he also attended St. Cloud State University.
- Besides being a good athlete, he always liked acting and so it was not long before he left for Hollywood to pursue his dream, enrolling at the San Francisco Theater Academy.

- Rick was a member of the Genesis Theater Company in Long Beach and also Will and Company amongst others, where he experimented with various roles such as Hal Carter in Picnic and McDuff in the play Macbeth.
- He furthered his acting studies at the South Coast Repertory professional training program.
- Domeier has also been part of various TV shows such as Hack, Dream on, St. Elsewhere, Likely Suspects and The Young and the Restless.
- On the big screen, Rick co-starred on Evil Dead II a film directed by Sam Raimi.
- Some of the commercials Domeier worked in, include prestigious brands like Isuzu, Pontiac, and Good Year. These commercials helped him eventually land the gig at QVC where he’s been working as a Host and Creative Producer to this day.
- Rick’s life experience and many struggles to follow his dream led him to feel the need to keep sharing. As a result, he dived into the world of writing and published his book titled Can I Get a Do Over?

- Rick got his job at QVC as a host by pretending to be his agent, recommending himself by telling the executives how talented “that Domeier guy” was.
- He is also referred to by his nickname ‘Captain Midnight.’
- Rick’s birthday falls on the same day as fellow QVC host Antonella Nester!
- Back in 1990, he has appeared in one episode of the soap opera Days of Our Lives in a character called ‘Officer Steve.’
- Rick’s father was a WWII hero. His dad had five brothers, and they all went to war, but only he and two of his brothers came back. Eventually, he passed away in 2005 & Rick gave the eulogy to honor the great man.
Muddling through Challenges :
- Rick’s turning point that led to his ultimately successful career was when he was forced to re-focus his life after finding himself in LA broke and alone. His girlfriend at the time, Amy, had broken up with him & his manager had quit for health reasons.
- Before this challenging phase, Rick said the Hollywood way of life had dragged him, and he said, “In my mind, it was all about me” & that he had forgotten what his dad had taught him, the principles of the Bible.
- In his book titled Can I Get a Do Over?, Rick reflects on his journey back to Amy, the life changes he went through, and his “never give up” attitude.

Rick is da’ bomb !!! So funny.
I hope Rick’s wife is going with him and Shawn on this assignment they are going on. I don’t picture Rick as a person that would cheat on his wife but crazier things have happened. I always love these show hosts love stories, most are always dedicated to their long time spouses. Keep us smiling Rick.
