American-born and Long Island-raised Samantha Augeri is a meteorologist, who currently works as the evening meteorologist at News 12.

Personal Life : Parents, Family and Education

Originally from Long Island, Samantha graduated from Holy Trinity High School. She has spent most of her adult life living in Malverne, Long Island.
After completing high school, her next step was to earn a Bachelor’s degree in communications from the University of Scranton, where she was a member of the women’s lacrosse team. She was here from 2001 to 2005.
Later, from 2005 to 2007, she earned a degree in broadcast meteorology at the University of Albany.

A married woman with two adorable twin boys, named Jack and Ben, Samantha has a happy marriage and a successful family life. Her sons were born via C-section after a painful 20-hour labor struggle.
Ralphie, a senior dog we adopted from the ‘Dog Day Friday’ segment, was their family’s pet! Unfortunately, Ralphie passed away in 2018.
Augeri has run 17 marathons in 9 states so far and hopes to become a member of the 50 States Marathon Club someday.

As a lifeguard who has lived at Long Beach for many years, and as someone who lives there right now, Samantha considers it an amazing place. She even met her life-partner (who was also a lifeguard there!) at Long Beach. Another reasons she loves Long Island…it has beautiful beaches, pleasant farms in the east, picturesque views on the north shore, and is just an hour’s drive from the world’s greatest city!
Summer is her favorite season & June is her favorite month of the year.

Throughout her life, Samantha has loved the weather. Even in her elementary school yearbook, she wrote ‘meteorologist and gymnast’ under the section “What do you want to be when you grow up?”
Samantha’s full-time career started as the Morning/Noon Meteorologist at WBNG-TV 12, a CBS affiliate in Binghamton, NY. She worked here between Mar 2008 and Jul 2010.
Later, she was the weekend morning meteorologist at News 12 from November 2010 to July 2015.

Her next stop was Fox 5 NY, where she worked for four years as a weather producer and fill-in for Good Day New York.
Since 2019, she is working successfully as an Evening Meteorologist for News 12 in New York City.
