- Before heading off to higher education, Foster was a host on Castle Mead Hospital Radio, a station created specifically to provide patients and workers in local hospitals with talk shows, music, and uplifting stories. She began in 2000 and kept the position for six years.
- In May of 2003, Foster got another radio job on Lincs FM Group, the parent company of multiple local stations around Lincolnshire, and stayed with this company for five years.
- After leaving her position at Castle Mead Hospital Radio, Foster picked up a second job at Orion Media, another radio conglomerate that owned multiple local stations. She worked on-air for Orion Media as a journalist.
TV Career :
- In February 2013, Foster left the last of her radio jobs behind her and began working for the Birmingham-based station ITV News Central.
- She began as a production journalist, weekday anchor, and reporter, and even won the Royal Television Society Midlands Centre, or RTS, “Best New Talent 2013” award.
- In January 2015, she was promoted and began handling breaking news, features, and main programming.
- From Jan 2016 to Sep 2018, she took a position as a health correspondent. In this position, she shared stories related to healthcare in the UK. She has reported on topics ranging from the state of hospitals in the Midlands and their needed upgrades to malpractice lawsuits for doctors in the area. When working as a health correspondent, she could often be seen on segments with leading ITV News Central anchor Bob Warman.
- The program “Glenfield children’s heart unit reprieve,” produced by Stacey Foster and Gareth Owen and presented by Stacey Foster, won the RTS Midlands News Programme of the Year award in November 2018.
