2013 Accident :
- On September 10th, 2013, Ruffes was traveling to a story with photojournalist Lucas Bogg when the van they were traveling blew a tire.
- This resulted in the van flipping multiple times down an embankment. Luckily, no other vehicles were impacted.
- Ruffes & Bogg were taken to the nearby Naples Community Hospital, where despite how severe the accident looked, they were treated for only minor injuries.
- Shesuffered a broken collarbone, and cuts and bruises, but was released on the same day of her admittance.
- When leaving the hospital, the only comment she made to reporters was that the crash had been terrifying.
- The next day, she released a statement thanking everyone for their kind words and support.
- She acknowledged that the accident had been quite scary, and stated that she was looking forward to returning to work.
