Natasha Yi burst into the entertainment scene with a bang. While eating at a McDonald’s restaurant in Denver, Colorado, Natasha was discovered by a scout from Hugh Heffner’s adult entertainment magazine Playboy.
She was hesitant to be featured in such a raunchy publication at first, but soon seized the opportunity and started a stellar career that has seen her work as a model, actress, film producer and radio host.
Always positive in her outlook and never failing to spot an opportunity, Natasha’s career has grown in leaps and bounds over the years.
Born to be a Star :
Natasha was born in Boston, Massachusetts, before her family moved to Denver. As a child, she would sing along to her favorite songs and pretend to sing into a microphone.
With a friendly personality to accompany her gorgeous looks, Natasha quickly rose to fame after she appeared as a model in commercial ad campaigns for various products & featured in other popular magazines including GQ, Maxim, The New York Post, Esquire, and Vanity Fair
Natasha has also lent her appearance to a few video games such as Street Racing Syndicate (SRS) and Ubisoft’s 187 Ride or Die.
From The Big Screen to Streaming :
Natasha’s acting career has been just as busy. Her movie appearances; include The Run Down, Hell Ride, Thunder Over Reno, Speed Dating and the 2001 action comedy film Rush Hour 2.
She has gone further into the film industry by starting a company called Yazook, LLC. Through this company, she has co-produced a few TV shows for networks; as well as discovering new talent and providing an online platform for them to express themselves without the constraints of modern TV industry bureaucracy.
Besides cinema, Natasha also has graced the small screen with numerous appearances on popular TV shows.
A Woman of Many Talents :
Several music video appearances prove that Natasha’s versatility knows no bounds. She has featured in music videos of hit songs by popular musicians including some by Janelle Monae, The Urgency and Panic! At The Disco.
She also appeared in her own comic series called Nat’s Life; based on her experiences and adventures while living the glamorous life of a model and actress. Natasha was also the first Asian model to appear on the cast of the popular American game show, The Price is Right.
The Midas Touch
Always one to take up a new challenge, Natasha focused her talents to radio in 2015. She hosted a talk show on internet radio outlet Dog House, after listeners could not get enough of her when she made a few guest appearances.
Her strength lies in the diversity of her talents, which has seen her build excellent careers in anything that she has a passion for and tries her hand at. Just like the mythical Midas, everything she touches seems to turn to gold.
