He worked his first campaigns the following year in Liverpool on data & field operation for the Liberal Democrat party and back home on local races in South Carolina.
Back then, he worked as an intern to Bill Wiggin MP, Shadow Minister at the House of Commons in London and Hon. Colin Eldridge of Liberal Democrats in Liverpool.

Here, he helped established a groundbreaking model where his firm chipped into large old-fashioned political broadcasting companies that did not have digital operations. They created campaigns adverts, apps and designed websites to grow masses for their clients
Since he set up his digital agency, Harlan has participated in on six Senate campaigns, several statutory statewide campaigns and a few Congress & local campaigns.
In 2014, he again founded another firm called TallyingVoting, focused on disrupting the voting machine market & election technology.
