- Kelsey Snell is an American congressional reporter for NPR, an American non-profit membership media organization based in Washington, D.C.

- A Chicago native, Kelsey attended Libertyville High School before she went on to earn undergraduate degree in Political Science from the DePaul University in Chicago. She graduated DePaul in 2006.
- While studying, she was also a news and music director at the WRDP Radio DePaul and & a legal and publications assistant at the Environmental Law and Policy Center, in which she gaineexperiencees in both production and legal procedures.
- From 2009 to 2010, Kelsey also attended Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois, to earn her Master’s degree in Journalism from Medill School of Journalism. Her course work included managing multimedia presence, local urban reporting, national political reporting & maintenance onewsroomom and handling social media.

- Before her graduation, Snell did a lot of work as a reporter and writer. Some of the outlets she worked with included WAMU Public Radio, Politics Daily, Seattle Post Intelligencer, McClatchy Company etc. Her work has also appeared in Fresno Bee, Sacramento Bee, Miami Herald, Kansas City Star, among others.
- In June 2010, Kelsey became a national desk intern and a month later earned her first work as an Assistant Producer at the National Public Radio (NPR). She was responsible for assisting with sound and story production both in-field and in-studio and helped a team to develop stories for the two-hour weekend show.
- After some months with the NPR, she became an Economics and Budget Reporter for two years at The National Journal as a tax and trade reporter, followed by a similar role at Politico for another couple of years.
- Kelsey’s next career stop was as a reporter at the Washington Post. Here, she covered Congress discussions focusing on budget, taxes and fiscal issues.
- In October 2017, Kelsey became a congressional reporter of the National Public Radio (NPR).

- Kelsey has expressed her admiration over Chicago Blackhawks and remains a fan despite the team’s long-time disappointing performance.
