Gabrielle began her career on September 10, 2001, working at the WBFF station as an intern in their newsroom. She worked very hard to prove herself, and in just one month after starting at the station, she was offered a full-time job.
While at the WBFF station, she held a few positions that included producer and assignment editor before being promoted to a temporary news reporter and full-time traffic reporter in 2003.

After working at WBFF for a few years, Gabrielle moved to Baltimore, Maryland, and joined the Fox 45 News team as a reporter, producer, and anchor for the station’s morning news show.
Kerr once stated in an interview that the most difficult part of working in the news industry was having to deal with various touching stories especially considering that she is incredibly sensitive and easily moved by others’ struggles and tragedies.
Gabrielle worked many years for QVC as one of their on-air hosts. QVC took up a lot of her time and even when she was not hosting, she enjoyed shopping, looking out for fashion updates, and watching QVC.
