Barriga’s TV broadcasting career began in 2014 when she landed a job as a Weather Anchor at Entravision Communications in Washington D.C. Initially, she was unsure if anchoring would be a long-term career path, but as time went on, she understood the importance of this role in the community, as well as the responsibility and commitment that comes with it.
In addition to being a weather anchor, she also worked as a Spanish Interpreter for the Liberty Language Services.
In September of 2014, Valeria joined Telemundo as an Entertainment Reporter and a Weather Anchor.

Though she remained with the company, she relocated to San Antonio, Texas in February 2018, and in addition to being a weather anchor, she also took the role of a news reporter.
Barriga also presented an educational program that came on the network at 4.30 pm every Tuesday. This was in addition to producing and presenting other general assignments and special projects that were needed by the network.
Currently, she is the weather anchor for Univision Communications Inc. She joined the company in July 2019. As part of ‘Primera Hora,’ Valeria works alongside Myrna Salas, Jorge Viales, and Paco Fuentes as their morning weather anchor.

Throughout her career as a reporter, weather anchor, interpreter, writer, and presenter, Barriga has received several high-profile accolades including a recent Emmy Award Nomination which she received for presenting the weather for Univision Communications Inc.

Ms Barriga is a beautiful woman, and like most beautiful women she will go very far in her chosen career. She is beautiful, if nothing else. I may not understand all Spanish, but I don’t Spanish to enjoy watching Ms Barriga and the weather.
