Brandi was raised by a single mother, Terri Duncan. She was born on May 21, 1983, in Dallas, Texas.
She graduated from the University of North Texas in 2007 with a degree in business.
She tied the knot with Jason Maxiell in August 2010 and had their firstborn in November 2011. They met while they were in high school. She hopes to have a second child in the near future.

Cancer Battle :

When she was 24 years old, Brandi was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. Several doctors had dismissed her earlier due to her non-history and young age before she was eventually diagnosed properly.
She declared herself cancer-free after surgery and chemotherapy in 2008.

Her then-fiancé shaved his head as a sign of solidarity for her and raised awareness about the disease.
