Born and brought up in Pune, Pramiti Narke went to Abhinav Vidyalya and later to Ferguson college for her 12th standard. At the Lalit Kala Kendra, she completed her degree level college eduation. There she completed her B.A. in theatre studies as a gold medalist.
As she has a strong background in theatre acting, she has worked in a number of smaller telefilms and Hindi nataks. In the early part of her career, she acted in a number of nataks done by the Rangshrushti institute. LAter, she moved to Mumbai to kick start her career and started giving auditions.
Her debut role in Colors Marathi, Tu Majha Sangati as Avali, wife of Sant Tukaram is very popular. It was reported that she won this role after a series of tough auditions competing against Mrunal Dusanis and other popular TV actresses. She was just 21 at this time, and yet played the role of a mother of two young children.
Other roles she has done include the award-winning short film Doh, in which she played the role of Shruti. She also portrayed Gurusha in the natak Ringan. She also writes scripts for a few ekankikas herself.
