Introduction :
A Virgo by birth, the beautiful Preeti Singh Raghunandan is one of the main anchors of the NEWS 18 channel.
TV Career, Job, Salary and Net Worth :
- Preeti has been a part of television journalism for more than 15 years now. Her first break came in 2003 when she became an anchor for a regional channel called ‘Punjab Today.’
- After success there, she moved for short durations to ‘Total TV’ and ‘S1 TV’ and then to ‘India News’ & worked there for four years. She was in charge of hosting shows ranging from politics to environment to sports to lifestyle & Fashion, etc.
- She left ‘India News’ to join News 24 where she enjoyed the same responsibilities as before for a period of four years.
- In 2012, she joined as one of the four main faces of the ‘News 18’ network in New Delhi. Her role expanded further & she is now responsible for discussing, deciding and delivering local, national and international news on the show.
- In addition, she coordinates with control room staff to include relevant graphics for viewers to understand the message easily. She conducts interviews with politicians, Bollywood celebrities, corporate bigwigs & other imminent personalities on-air for which she directs an independent team to pre-research the guests and prepare a list of questions to be asked.
- News 18 is in actually CNN News18, a channel that was formerly known as CNN IBN. It is a partnership between TV18, one of India’s leading television broadcast networks & CNN International. The partnership was formed in the year 2005. All the above news networks are broadcasted in Hindi.

- Preeti was a visiting faculty at International School of Media and Entertainment Studies (ISOMES) in Noida. ISOMES is South Asia’s first industry-integrated premier media school offering various courses in the field of Journalism and Media at graduation and Post-graduation levels.
- Her co-anchors at News 18 are veterans of News industry – Sumit Awasthi and Kishore Ajwani.
- In the past, she has hosted the star cast of the controversial movie ‘Lipstick Under my Burkha’ for their promotion. The cast includes Ratna Pathak, Konkana Sen, Plabita and Aahana.
- This movie had been not given certification by Central Board of Film Certification of India due to which it had been banned from release in any cinema halls. This caused NEWS 18 to receive flak from some quarters for the promotion.
- She has had the opportunity to interview talented Bollywood actress Vidya Balan.
- Her hairstylist is incredibly fit and beautiful Mamta Mohan Das.
- Received the ‘Aadhi Aabadi’ award for excellence in Journalism on the behalf of News 24 Editor-in-Chief Anuradha Prasad.
