Sabrina Smelko is a creative director, illustration and digital media instructor, TV host and social media content producer from Whistler in British Columbia, Canada.
Smart, talented and creative, Smelko is passionate about her work but she also enjoys taking time off to enjoy the great outdoors and reset.

Personal Life, Parents and Family Details :

Smelko was raised in Toronto, Canada by Italian parents.
Although she has Italian roots, she has never been to Italy and has stated in an interview that she dreams of visiting her family there one day.

When she was a teenager, Smelko worked in her hometown’s library, organising books on shelves and carting them around. This was also her first job.
She currently lives in British Columbia, Canada with her partner.

In March of 2018, Sabrina received a Level II Yoga Instructor Certification from Vikasa Yoga.
She has a Bachelor of Applied Arts degree in Illustration from Sheridan College.
During her time at Sheridan College, Smelko was a member of the Graduation Council and helped to organise the annual Illustration Grad Show in 2012.

Work, Career, Salary and Net Worth :

Sabrina’s career began in 2011 when she worked as a Graphic Design Intern for Hypenotic. During the five months she worked there, Smelko helped create illustrations, blogged on the company’s social media platforms and created package and editorial designs.
Once her internship ended, she joined TRAVIS magazine as a Graphic Designer.

9 months later, she left TRAVIS and joined The Hive as their Art Director.
For the next 7 months, Sabrina generated content for the company’s ad campaigns and worked with their many clients including Jack Daniels, Coca Cola, Cadbury, Kraft, Redbull and OLG.
In January of 2014, Smelko became the full-time Creative Director for Wild & Light and spent a little over a year leading the creative teams for a variety of lifestyle shorts, music videos and documentary features.

During the same year, she also worked as an Illustration and Digital Media Teacher at her alma mater, Sheridan College.
She worked mainly with 4th-year students who were building their Thesis and was a member of the school’s BAA Illustration Board.
In the same year that she worked for The Hive and Sheridan College, Sabrina was also the Visual Designer for Mozilla.

In September of 2014, she became the Editor and Writer for Design*Sponge.
Less than 2 years into the job, she also became a TV Host for HGTV Canada.
Smelko left Design*Sponge in early 2017 so she could focus on her job as a TV Host.

She then went on to guest star on the Home To Win program in addition to co-hosting the Save My Reno show.
Sabrina parted ways with HGTV Canada in 2018.
Currently, Smelko is the Designer, Illustrator and Creative Director of Sabrina Smelko Studio Inc. as well as the owner of a hair, skin, and body brand called Heelr.

When she is not working, Sabrina loves spending time with her boyfriend and her dog, Piper.
