Erica Lira Castro is an American educator. She is also the wife of Julián Castro, the former United States Secretary of Housing and Urban Development. Julián had plans to run for the US Presidential election in 2020.

- Erica Lira Castro was born in August 1978, in Texas.
- She was born into a hardworking family of limited means. Her father worked as a mechanic for VIA, and her mother is a secretary.
