- Robin Pringle is an American executive & the second wife of former Colorado Governor John Hickenlooper. Hickenlooper had sought the Democratic party’s nomination for the US 2020 Presidential Elections but dropped out before the primaries.
Personal Life : Parents, Family and Education
- Robin Stevens Pringle was born in 1979 in California, and grew up in the town of Tiburon, on the outskirts of San Francisco.
- She is the eldest of three children in her family.
- Her mother used to be a teacher before she dedicated herself solely to raising a family, and her father is an attorney representing well-known companies, with an expertise in antitrust litigation.
- Fuelled by determination from a very young age, Robin applied for a place at the prestigious Phillips Exeter Academy, a boarding school in Exeter, New Hampshire. She only informed her parents of this after she was notified that the application had proven successful.
- Following her time at the Academy, Robin relocated to Durham, North Carolina, to attend Duke University. In 2000, he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in public policy.
- After getting her Bachelor’s degree from Duke University, Robin moved to Evanston, Illinois, to attend Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management. She graduated with a Master’s in Business Administration degree in 2008.
- After experiencing life in various parts of the country, Robin now resides in Denver, Colorado.
- Robin officially began dating John Hickenlooper in 2014, and the two got hitched on January 16, 2016, after he proposed to her over the Christmas period.
- At the time of their marriage, John Hickenlooper was Governor of Colorado, which made Robin the ‘First Lady of Colorado’ until her husband’s term ended in 2019.

- For some time, Robin has worked for Thomas Weisel Partners as an investment banker.
- She was also part of the strategy group at Del Monte Foods.
- In 2008, Pringle moved to Denver, Colorado, and started working for the Liberty Media Corporation in Englewood, Colorado. She is currently a Senior Vice-President of corporate development, as well as a member of the Board of Directors for SiriusXM and other companies that in the private sector.
- In her role as VP of corporate development, Robin oversees Liberty Media portfolio companies, assists in business development, and identifies further investment opportunities.
Interesting Facts, Height and Trivia :
- Despite being married to a Democrat, Robin was once registered as a Republican voter. Over the years, she has contributed to campaigns of both Republicans and Democrats. She now identifies as independent when it comes to politics.
- Robin is John’s second wife, but she has stated that his ex-wife Helen Thorpe has been nothing but supportive. There is a 27 year age difference between John and Robin.
- She is also the step-mother by marriage to John’s son, Teddy, but she sees herself more as a friend to him.
- Robin met the man who would become her husband in 2013, at the Museum of Contemporary Arts’ Luminosity fundraising gala.
- Robin is very passionate about skiing and involves herself in political issues that affect the western region of the country.
