  1. Like so many others, Jesus Calling seemed to match so many of my needs at the time when I needed revelation or answers. While I respect the views of her critics, I have disagreed with them. I would like to send her an email or letter regarding three subjects: Three powerful scriptures that were supernaturally provided to me, a repeated butterfly experience, and some other information regarding Lyme disease, which I likely contracted within the past month.

I would welcome her response provided she feels compelled to do so. God deals with that.

  2. Allan A Stonehouse

I am reading the 3rd devotional of Sarah Young. I color in my Bible using a different color the Scripture verses she uses and finds out there is not much need to use a new color as the verses now have been previously used in the other 2 books. Some of the daily devotions use the same 3 or 4 verse combination as previously noted for the topic.

I would think that out of the 31, 102 verses in the Bible a greater selection would be available for a new book, however, more Scripture research would be required to use on the various new subjects.

  3. I have some information out of a dental book that I would like to share with Sarah about vertigo. I read her devotional books and wiykcc. Do like to send a case study out of my book?

  4. I received Jesus Calling, from my neighbor in 2015, and I love following it every day. It does seem like Jesus knows what scripture reading I need that day. I will continue to read this every year. Thanks, Sarah.

  5. Jesus Calling was given to me by a friend over a year ago and it is and will be a part of my morning connection with God for the rest of my life.

    1. My brother, a devout Christian, as well as his precious wife, my sister-in-law and sister in Christ, shared with me how impactful Sarah Young’s “Jesus Calling” devotional has made on their walk with the LORD. I had my own favorite devotionals and wouldn’t make room for one more. Then one day, I was waiting in line at a Hobby Lobby (a Christian owned business), and I spotted these beautiful leather-bound devotionals on sale, one of which was “Jesus Calling”. To be very honest, I was attracted to how beautifuly bound it was! But I find this devotional to be the essence of God’s love, hope and encouragement. I suffer from lifelong depression and was once very close to the LORD. Days when I would spend up to three hours in prayer, a meditation on the Holy Spirit before I began my morning study. For Him to teach me and not the author’s personal translation. I know by experience that Sarah Young does indeed hear directly from God.

As Christians, we all should if we take the time to listen to His Holy Spirit, who lives within us. I had so many amazing things I heard from Him during those years. They would come to me on my daily walks and when I was doing mundane chores like cleaning our house (something I never have enjoyed!) I heard Him clearly through adversities, one of which was losing my other brother. He directed me to go to the people that were responsible for his death and forgive them. Everyone around me thought I was crazy. I had other Christians, some in the ministry, to criticize my actions. But days after doing so, I was led to scripture that described exactly what I had done–2 Corinthians 2-5-11. I hadn’t been studying this passage, all I did was be obedient to God’s voice. As I was shopping for “funeral clothes” for my dad to wear to his son’s memorial, God told me ‘Go now and forgive them.’ I made as many excuses to Him in those moments as Moses did on the mountain. Finally, I found a way to locate a particular person, drove to her home immediately and held her as we both cried together over our loss, and told her I forgave her. God’s Word is not just for reading and preaching from, we are to LIVE it in trust and obedience. There were other similar situations when I heard God directly speaking to me. But life situations happened and I became so busy that my relationship with the Lord suffered.

Since making Sarah Young’s “Jesus Calling” part of my morning meditation, I am reminded of the depth of His love for me, regardless of the poor choices I’ve made since then. He is truly calling me, day by day, and I hope to return to His arms and hear His voice once again. I thank God for Sarah Young, despite the criticism she receives from those in theological positions. I’m sure it doesn’t bother her though because she knows the Truth intimately. Thank you, Sarah!

      1. Thank you for your testimony. I have had a lot of hardship in my life. Lost 3 brothers, my father and just recently my precious son, Michael, who was 22.

I cling to The LORD’s word and find comfort in the daily devotions. I too feel that each one comes from The word of Our Lord for Sarah to put on paper.

One of my brothers was murdered. It took me years to forgive this senseless act. Only by the Grace of God was I able to forgive the murders, which set me free.

May The LORD continue to speak and bless you!

      2. I was given Jesus Calling by my best friend. Sadly, it sat on my nightstand for well over a year. Unfortunately, my husband suffered from liver failure due to hepatitis C. Not knowing what to do with my thoughts when I was quietly by myself, I picked up Jesus Calling in sheer desperation. I starting reading it daily and a quiet sense of strength and peace now filled this awful time. Yes, say what you will, but what else could it be, but Jesus. I read it daily and still experience the same feelings of peace and strength. Yesterday, was the anniversary of my husband’s liver transplant, it’s now 8 years. I continue to speak with Jesus and witness his miracles daily. My prayers are with all our brothers and sisters in Jesus Christ.

    2. Could you please be so kind as to help me?

    3. Sarah, I first received your book “Jesus Calling” from you with a letter as a supporter of MTW.

I have given many of your devotionals to family and friends as I find that they speak to my heart along with memorizing the daily scriptures. Thank you for answering God’s call to write the books as they give us daily inspiration especially in today’s age of covid lockdowns.
