Michael was bought up in the Middle East for a large part of his childhood, first of all in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates, and then Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
His parents then moved to Cyprus. This is where he found Christianity which he clearly remembers – He discovered his faith on a Saturday evening and fell in love with scriptures. By the time Bible study class came round on Tuesday, he had read the New Testament twice and was halfway through the Old Testament.
Eventually, Michael moved back to the United Kingdom, where he started work for the Lord Chancellors Department investing funds.

Later, he attended the University of Sheffield carrying out research in law and economics.
While at university, Michael started to teach Moral Philosophy. This led to him lecturing the Philosophy of Law and Human Rights in Strasbourg.
At the Wolfsberg Executive Development Centre in Switzerland, he spent some time as a Scholar-in-Residence.

Since 1997, Michael has worked for Ravi Zacharias International Ministries (RZIM) when it was founded in Europe. He now holds the position of International Director, which involves managing the team of speakers from around the world.
In 2004, Michael co-founded the Oxford Centre for Christian Apologetics (OCCA), an autonomous study centre.

His main involvement here is lecturing in Christian Apologetics at Wycliffe Hall, Oxford University.
