  1. The trouble is I don’t think it’s just the police, I can’t believe all these different judges are so stupid, and the jury, I think a lot of people are getting paid off some how. We all know that the police can’t afford to have Steven get out again.

  2. Unbelievable! My prayers are with this entire family. Brenden was a just a child! I agree with the judge that said it made her skin crawl. I signed the petition. I wish I could do more. It’s true, “no money, no justice” or no power.

  3. The saddest story I’ve seen in a long time. Tragic in so many respects. The list of victims with respect to this huge carriage of injustice is staggering when you really think of it. The deceased victims, their families friends, the falsely accused, their families friends, and their reputations.

Then the community, the rest of the legal community, the entire group of all of us that this could so easily be happening to. My heart goes out to all of these human beings and all the others we are yet to find out about. May the Lord help and guide us to a more fair, and compassionate society.

  4. The judges in the Steven Avery case and Dassey case were abysmal at best. That’s the best Wisconsin and Manitowoc county can muster? How could the county and state ever have a retrial knowing if acquitted the lawsuit coming against the sheriff and detective and county would be astronomical? That’s why these judges don’t rule for common sense and allow the néw evidence. I hope the truth comes out and I hope sheriff Colborn is unsuccessful in his lawsuit against Netflix. He is not a good policeman and remembers that he was part of the few who withheld evidence in the first case.

Are there any good police officers and judges in WI? I absolutely hate that I have to go to WI for a wedding this year. Everyone who loves truth and correct justice should never spend a dollar in Wisconsin!

  5. I am not in law inforcement, a lawyer or judge but after watching this 2 part series its obvious that Brendan and Steven have been framed. The Judges are supposed to be well educated people but I doubt that…They are preposterous and biased!

I truly hope and pray that mama and papa Avery are alive to see their son and grand child released and acquitted for this murder that they didn’t commit. Keep strong Avery’s my prayers are with you all ❤️

  6. My heart is heavy for Steven and Brenden, I just finished watching the documentary. Wow. Just utterly astounding! Love to Steve and Brandon from Maine! #freestevenandbrenden

  7. I am still watching Part 2 of this series and it sickens me that a murder was committed…two innocent people are living in jail..the murder is still at large! There has been no justice in this case I am so disgusted and discouraged with our justice system. My heart hurts for the families of all three victims, and I hope and pray that these mothers and fathers get to see the sons again before they leave this earth! These men are clearly innocent how can these corrupt people sleep at night!

Prayers to all of the Avery family!!

To Teresa’s family, I also pray for you that you get true justice for your daughter!

  8. This series is unbelievable, that this can happen to anyone in the USA, simply unbelievable. My prayers are with the whole family, especially for two innocent men.

  9. As a law student in Namibia, I’ve always trusted the justice system. It’s really shocking to see the extent to which those law enforcement officers went to frame Steven, not once but twice! And the poor Brandon who never stood a chance. Steve and Brandon stay strong, God will hear your prayers!

  10. I think they should both be re tried
What is the state afraid of?
The true evidence should be heard
Bunch of crooked cops from top to bottom

  11. I’ve been watching the entire Parts of how corrupt the law can be. I’m not an Attorney, but I know enough that Steven and Brenden are very innocent. My heart goes out too all members of the family. It’s a shame that both of theses men have had too be locked up for years for something they didn’t do. I feel like someone in the Avery family has something on the law officer’s and too make sure they keep quiet they throw the keys away so they won’t ever get out of prison. I pray that this family will find Jesus Christ, if they already don’t have him in their lives. Many prayers for all that’s involved in this

  12. My father was a county attorney and remarried. His wife told me a story as they were leaving to go in extended action. She was calling the police to keep an eye on their hone.

My father told her to hang up, police are the last people you want to call. I have tried to avoid them. I know majority are dedicated professionals. However, those who are not have an enormous power to harm.

  13. Just finished watching The Making of a Murder. I am really shocked. The Special prosecutor Kratz was a joke. Who combs their hair while arguing a case in court? Trust me dude thinks he all that. NOT!! It’s totally obvious that Steve and Brendan were railroaded. The state of Wisconsin needs to do the right thing and set them free. They are obviously innocent. The Governor should give them clemency. That city of Manitowoc is corrupt.

I’m not an attorney and I myself see the deception that the law has done. I feel bad for Teresa Halbach’s family. But there are 2 innocent men in jail for something they didn’t do.

  14. I know in a way how Steven and Brandon feel. I too was accused of crimes I did not commit. My public defender did nothing to help me to her I was guilty of the crimes even before I stepped into her office. I did 5 and a half years on probation, then my health too a noise dive and boom I’m out of work. With one year remaining, I was locked up for 90 days. So I know first-hand that the system is for the guilty, who gets to go free, but for the innocent who is found guilty!

Oh, my heart is so heavy for this whole family. As soon as I saw Brandon I knew that he has a disability and was not understanding what the police want. How can anyone say that he was not lead to repeat what he was told in his first statement? What kind of lawyer has his assistant talk to the client and ask him to write down his actions for that day and then tells him that it was not the truth. Then makes this confused, scared young man to draw fake photos of what he did not see or did. Writing this something just hit me like a ton of bricks. Steven’s lawyer has proof that Brandon’s brother Bobby had horrible pictures on the computer who’s to say that when they were leading Brandon to confess and describe it in detail he had somehow seen the pictures of those women and was describing those. He was always having to really think hard to describe any of the”actions” that day.

Steven I feel is always going to be a scapegoat for the country. This whole situation is just so wrong.

Prayers to Steven and Brandon for continued safety and Angela of strength and peace be with you. To the Avery family, I am praying for y’all also to stay strong and keep pushing until you get them to put. I’m not sure if Ma and Pay Avery are still around, if they are I want to tell them that they are the strongest, faithful couple I have ever seen. I’m praying extra special for y’all. But if one of them or both have gone home, to the family I send thoughts of love to yall.
Justice needs to be done for Steven and Brandon.

  15. In watching the Making a Murderer, I have the following comments:
This is all so unbelievable. I feel sorry and sad for the young lady that lost her life, but the wrong people are serving the time. That Kratz thought he was so cute, combing his hair in the court room, I didn’t see anyone else doing this. Hanging around and giving news conferences after he was off the job, on federal property, yet. I think he is full of himself. Kratz presumed the accused was guilty instead of innocent until proven he was guilty. He called the family names and low life, look who was talking. I believe there were several people that had the opportunity: the girl’s x boy friend, the brother to Brendan and maybe even scot Brendan’s step father. Why did the police officer not tell about the car at the side of the road? important information one would think. The police pick and choose what to report, that is rather odd. Talk about an unfair trial, not. Obviously you don’t have teen kids, they tell untruths many times and have no explanations why they do it.

  16. Can’t believe what I’ve just watched! An absolute disgrace the treatment of this poor family! I wouldn’t like to live or even visit them. I hope karma gets all you lying bastards. I hope n pray your innocence is proven, Steve and Brendan. X

  17. Im absolutely sickened by the corruptness of these so say highly respected law enforcement officers. So much evidence that proves Steven and Brendan are innocent. These officers need to be brought 2 justice, thrown in prison and never be released. My heart goes out to these poor innocent men.

    1. Not guilty is an understatement!!! I feel so bad for Stevens Mom and Dad!! He is not guilty and I absolutely hate those crooked cops!!! Shame on you pricks!!! KARMA!!!

      1. I agree 100%, they are the most corrupt policeman and the state justice system is corrupt as well.
Shame on them! How can they live with themselves? They are the guilty ones, they should be put away forever!

  18. Th8s is clearly a case of a small town sheriff’s office wanting revenge for being made to look like fools in wrongly convicting Steve the first, and to have a civil suite open after 18 years in jail why and who In this life time would commit murder? You can see his parents are very sad and I can see Steve is worried about his mother’s health and I don’t think he would have put his parents thru this again after 18 years in prison am s would only want to live peacefully with his family to make up for the 18 years.

  19. I think that Steven avery and Brendan dassey are both innocent of there charges, Steven has been targeted by the police department because of an earlier incident which accused and he was found to be wrongfully accused and later released and sued the state police and obviously there not happy with this so find a horrible and sick way to put mr avrry behind bars AGAIN for something that he didn’t do!! These police offices should be struck off from there line of duty and put behind bars like the animals that they are CRUEL human beings

  20. This story breaks my heart. I actually cried during many episodes. How could a town be so corrupt? They had it out for this family from the beginning. Dolores and Allan don’t deserve this. Steven and Brendan don’t deserve this. Scary thing is that there is a killer still out there.

    1. That county should be at the top of the list for worst places to live in America. If I were a resident I would be so ashamed and never trust the sheriffs department, police departments in surrounding areas nor their judicial system. They all cover each other’s backsides regardless of the truth and justice has no place there.

  21. We are all afforded one life, only One per customer; how tragic that a handful of misguided criminal justice “professionals” can so completely dismantle the lives of two innocent men. Could the motives of Mantiwoc County officials be any more transparent-THESE are the
    Truly dangerous.

    1. It truly is a shame that we, as a people, look to these so-called “authority” figures for safety, law and order, protection and a sense of security and all the while they are the main ones we should be wary of. I’m not saying that all people in positions of authority and power are crooked, quite the contrary, most of them are good and decent men and women that just wanna do their job to the best of their abilities, collect their checks and go home like the rest of us but……, there are the “exceptions” to that rule and I believe we see in living color the prime example of that in Manitowoc County, Wisconsin. I can’t begin to grasp or understand for an instant how this small and corrupt rural community continued on their path of destruction, ESPECIALLY after it was clear that there was some conflict of interest going on…, to say the least.

Any person w half a brain could figure out that something was off when a person that was suing the county and its employees for 38 million smackaroos has just been charged w murder, oh yeah and not to mention the fact that he’s already spent 18 yrs of his life in the pen for a crime he was later exonerated for! I mean, “come on people, get your head out of your asses here, something stinks!” These poor innocent men are paying the price for corruption at the highest levels in this state and it makes me sick! To know the pain that their parents feel, especially Steven’s, I hope I never have to. I hope that one day Mrs. Dolores and Mr. Allen get to hold their son outside of a penitentiary, I pray that they are not denied their son’s liberty for the rest of their days. Look to that shady asd son-in-law, Scott, of theirs if you want some answers…., he has ALWAYS seemed off to me and there is just something about him that makes me uneasy. He seemed almost desperate to help put Steven away, and that is suspicious as hell.

    2. Agree this was a corrupt police force. How can a bullet be found in an extremely cluttered garage with the victims DNA yet not a drop of blood was found in the garage. The truth remains when a person is shot there is an extreme amount of blood splattered and no way would they be able to clean up all the splattered blood. It would be on objects all around the garage. This proved the evidence was planted.
Brendan’s testimony was also impossible to have occurred as their would have been blood and seaman in the mattress and they never tested or saw any. Brendan admitted to slitting her throat while she wad tied to the bed. No rope fragments.
Brendan was Handed papers to read and sign when he was incapable of comprehension of what the paper said. I am a special education teacher and this kid was illegally represented according to the Disabilities of Civil Rights.
The final fact is a body can not be completely burned in a bonfire in a yard. It requires a large amount of heat to burn bones. Therefore more than a fee fragments of bones should have been found in the fire pit. This leaves further evidence that the bones were planted i. The pit and the other remains are at the original murder site.
What makes this even more catastrophic is there is a murderer walking scot free because the blame is placed on two innocent men. I have my suspenders the ex boyfriend was the murderer and the police wanted to solve this murder and their hatred for the Averys was a perfect way to destroy this family too.

    3. The amazing thing about this case, and its branch’s of harm to the various Avery family is…There is reasonable doubt to every single angle of the case.not just one, but EVERY angle. At this point, the only without doubt is that Steve & Brandon are innocent. And, they were framed from every level of local law…..Maybe not all, but most all fingers point to them. I could never imagine the pain of Teresa’s family, but I know I’d want real justice, not just a conviction for my lost. Her real killer or killers are at large. And my opinion, they are most likely right there in their town. If people could just first admit that conspiracy is actually an action, and not just a word in the dictionary, they could have gone onto the next step and conducted a real investigation and fair trial…And saved families!

    1. amen I am really sad for this family they really suffered in this Life I swear.everyone can be that situation.

  22. Christina E. Weaver, Esq.

my heart goes out to Dolores and Al Avery, the parents of Steven. I am a retired attorney. I watched the various interrogations by the police. These were appalling examples of the misfunctioning “justice” system. It made me feel ill to watch how Mr. Avery and his nephew, Brandon Dassey were framed for Theresa Halbach’s death. I am sorry for this gross miscarriage of justice. To Dolores, Al, Steven and Brendan your strength in this horrendous nightmare is amazing.

  23. It’s a disgrace how efficiently the system is set up to incarcerate someone(even innocents) but almost impossible to navigate to release the wrongfully convicted!
No innocent party should have to fight this hard to be heard.
If the pay-outs to the wrongfully convicted and punishment for anyone who knowingly facilitates this were weightier, then we would see less of such abuses of power!
