  1. Does anyone else dislike Anita Manning like me?. She is so much a narcissus, that I switch the TV off when she is on!

  2. I’ve developed a crush on Thomas!
Why does anyone care why he changed his name? He had his reasons, my thoughts are maybe there is another antiques dealer with the name Thomas plant so he changed his to avoid confusion. But as I said I don’t care. I think he is funny and cheeky.

  3. After watching Bargain Hunt today I am asking the same question, why is Thomas Plant now being called Thomas Fo
    rrester?

  4. I would love to know. Plant Pot is one of my faves. Maybe we will never find out. Some of the comments are hilarious though.

  5. I heard a rumour that he has taken the name of another guy and he is still close to his wife for the sake of his kids

  6. We have seen Thomas Plant on TV for many years and I think an explanation of the name change would be appreciated.

  7. Plant? Forester? Whichever, he’s still one of the best experts on Bargain Hunt, but, like so many, I’d love to know why the change.

    1. Oh no no no no, a very nice guy yes but don’t let that confuse you to thinking he’s a good expert. He rarely makes profit in any of the programmes he appears on. Considering his training at university and top auction houses you would imagine he would be better.
Watch him from now on and you will see what I mean.

      1. You are spot on with his lack of ability, how can he be classed as an expert? I would love to go on the show, but dread having him as our expert.

  8. The mystery bigger than twin peaks The question everyone is asking For those of us that watch bargain Hunt religiously why has Thomas plant changed his name to Thomas Forrester someone must know

  9. Perhaps he fell out with one side of the family so took his mother’s name or he changed his name to forester so he could fell trees

  10. Who cares why he changed his name it’s no ones business except his if you hadn’t have read about it you would be none the wiser so why care about it just being nosy.

    1. Yet here you are after doing a search as to why Thomas changed his surname.
It’s interesting to find out these things, no one is claiming anything other than interest if that’s ok with you? Part of living in a free society is to be able to ask and search for answers.

  11. I also would like to know why Thomas has changed his surname
Not that it makes a difference to what he does or how we enjoy him but its a curiosity and we are generally nosy lol

  12. Mr Christopher Burcombe

Please, please, oh please why has he changed his name? I presume this is the same person and the BBC should be playing fair with an explanation. We are fans of Thomas Plant. Isn’t it fair to publicly announce why he has two surnames. Please be fair with his fans on this matter. We think we are going doolally. Christopher Burcombe.
