The TV serial ‘Ratris Khel Chale’ replaced the youth oriented TV show Dil Dosti Duniyadari for the 10.30PM slot in 2016.
It was based in the supernatural / horror genre, which is unique, as very few shows are in that genre. What is more interesting is the use of the Malvani language and the shooting based in a village in Konkan.
Story in Short :
The background of this show is of the Naik family from Sawantwadi in Kokan. Anna Naik is the head patriarch of a big family living in their old Wada in Konkan along with his wife. The family comprises of his three sons and a daughter.
Madhav : A scientist by profession, he lives with his wife Neelima and his son. His wife is also very career oriented and prefers believing in science, rather than ghosts. His son is a college-going student named Archies.
Dutta : The middle son, Dutta stays with Anna and looks out for the family estate and their businesses. His wife name is Sarita. They have a young daughter.
Abhiram : The youngest, he is planning to be wed and start his own family.
Chhaya : Anna’s daughter. She is widowed.
Story Begins :
The story begins when the family meets up for Abhi’s engagement celebration in their native place. On this day, unfortunately, Anna dies BUT…he has made a will, which distributes his property among 6 people. It should have been only 5 – the wife and the four children.
Who is the sixth person? Do ghosts and supernatural people and their powers really exist or are they just superstition?
Ratris Khel Chale is unique in the fact that none of the actors have done any big roles previously on television. After its release, the reviews have been mixed – Some characters like Pandu have been praised a lot, but the use of wrong Malvani at some places has been criticized.

Yes it’s a interesting story and excellent acting and best photography music simple and effective I think this will play havoc in awards ceremony. Title song very good.

I like the music very much and serial too…
All actors/actresses have performed so naturally without any makeup. Surroundings are full of greenery. Ranjit Vishwasrao playing a vital role in the subsequent episodes but his identity (name) has not been disclosed so far.
I watch the serial without fail. My observations.
Only uneducated characters are shown as knowing or speaking in malvani language. Parva who is born and brought up in the village can’t speak malvani? Why abhiram or madhav can’t speak malvani at least while interacting with their village living family members. Does anyone forget the mothertongue simply because he or she is educated or away from the village. Some dialogues, inbetween, in malvani by these educated characters would have made the serial more interesting. Further, it is poor depiction of malvani language that once one gets education he or she is ashamed of speaking malvani. This not true.

It is really good serial, it would have been better if you make a repeat telecast like other serials. All Actor & Actress done very much good role. Especially Pandu!
बकवास मालिका आहे. मालवणी नीट नाही बोलली जात. परंपरा तर दूर दूर पर्यंत दिसत नाहीत. प्रत्येक भागातला क्लायमॅक्स बघून हसायला येतं. थोडा वेग पकडायला हवा आणि कथेवर खूप काम करायची गरज आहे.

Serial sampwa lavkar ata…prachand chuka ahet editing madhye….madhech madhyaratra aste…madhech sandhyakalcha diwa lavane…it’s going off d track…it’s no more horror…It seems everyone is behind d gold in house…plz stop d torture
Very good serial never before seen on this type of serial.
Really nice serial. All actors are excellent sorry but except Devika’s mother who is overacting and Devika’s father who is never reacting to any situation, he stands just expressionless.
And the main thing is that nana’s voice should be more audible. Pandu’s acting is very nice…And I’m excepting more horror scenes in the serial…

What the bedridden Nana says seems to be very important, but I will be darned if I can figure out what he mumbles….please improve the quality of the audio or put sub-titles…
@director don’t stretch the serial in many directions, the serial is loosing its core, there are too many dimensions. Speed it up, we have started to loose interest, reason been I am a person who hates TV serials, to begin with the serial had a good start, but now, the speed and the content is loosing.
Directors its a wake up call.

We call the serial in short as PAACHOLA sometimes RATRIS We usually aah should I say for myself okay I feel yup much better okay then I feel much closer to television stars as I can get them easily in my home but okay same thing is when I get any movie on television I feel closer with certain stars specially Hollywood ones as they are shown living simple lifestyle n that is much like we live
