Shruti Marathe is an actress, who has worked in a number of Marathi and South Indian films.
Born in Baroda but later completed her education in Pune at a Convent school. She was interested in sports a lot during her childhood.
When she was just giving her SSC examinations, she appeared in the serial Peshwai. She was first noticed in the advertisement of a local jeweller in Pune – P. N. Gadgil. Peshwai was her first serial, directed by Smita Talwalkar.
Career in Films:
Shruti is well known in the Marathi industry as well as in South Industry, for her roles in Tamil and Kannada films. Down in the south, she is known as Shruthi Prakash.
Her first movie in her career was ‘Sanai Choughade’, directed by Shreyas Talpade. She also acted in Radha hi Bawri, opposite Saurabh Gokhale as well as Sant Sakhu and Peshwai.
Since they required to look older than her co-actor in Radha hi Bawree, she needed to wear big looking anarkalis.
Her height is 5 feet 5 inches and she is well versed in dancing forms such as Bharatnatyam and Kathak and also took part in the competition Eka Peksha Ek.
