- Later she migrated to Omaha, Nebraska, to host shows at various stations in the city.
- She landed a job at KLXK-FM and moved into television after two years. She started out at WCCO-TV as an intern.
- After completing her internship with WCCO-TV, Kendall moved to Austin, Minnesota, to work at KAAL-TV. She was a reporter and anchor for the weekday 10pm news bulletin.
- Following this, she moved to Albuquerque in New Mexico, serving as the weekend reporter and anchor for KRQE-TV.
- A couple of years later, Alix headed to Cincinnati, Ohio, as a co-host for the show 19 in the Morning & was there for three years.
- This was followed with stints at Fox-affiliate KMSP-TV as an anchor & as a reporter for Fox 9 Morning News.
- She co-hosted with Tim Sherno for almost 7 years before he left. He was replaced with Tom Butler.
- Kendall was also the co-host for Fox 9 Buzz.
- The 9-11 twin towers terror attack was the hardest story Alix has covered in her career. She was 6-months pregnant with her daughter Kaitlyn at the time.
Interesting Facts and Trivia :
- Alix filed a lawsuit against government agencies for more than $75,000, accusing them of accessing her private information without her consent. In May 2018, the Minneapolis City Council voted to pay her $150,000 plus $43,500 in lawyer fees, thus fulfilling a $193,000 settlement. It was one of the few cases in a long saga involving over-curious city cops who searched into the state’s Driver and Vehicle Services database to look at photographs, addresses, and driving records of dozens of local Minnesotan celebrities.
- Alix Kendall Weight Loss : Kendall once received a hand-written letter that wrote, “You Need to Lose 10 Pounds” in all caps. She also received a lot of support from the viewers watching her.
- Funnily, Alix has once played the guitar in the shower. She doesn’t do that anymore because she learned the hard way that bathroom floors could be slippery.

Very much enjoy watching Fox9 every morning! I read you graduated from Roosevelt, my 95-year-old mom graduated from Roosevelt, I actually took her and a classmate to their HS reunion a few years ago! There were about 50 graduates attending. A lively active group I must say! Would have made a good interview, I was impressed!

We have something in common…North Platte NE! I grew up on the radio on KJLT. My family did a regular program for several years. I provided the music with Mom and Dad preached. It was entitled ‘Faith For The Family’. We lived in Lincoln where Dad pastored a local church. You probably didn’t like living there.not much to do. Only Lake McConaughy nearby.
