She was close to her mother from a young age and describes her as her best friend.
She has been described as a graceful southern belle, but she admits she has no problems getting her hands dirty if the situation requires it.
From a young age, she began receiving modelling offers due to her classical looks. Her career in the modelling industry was encouraged by her mother who also works as her manager.

Her mother attempted to enter in to beauty contests but Kathryn stated she did not feel comfortable with that.

Kathryn came to public attention for her participation in the show Are You The One in season 5. It aired from 11 Jan 2017 to 15 March 2017.

The producers of the show pitched her to audiences as being a positive girl who can’t help falling in love with the wrong guys.
They attempted to play up her southern charm in an effort to attract more wholesome viewers alongside the regular reality-drama fans.
On the show, her perfect match was revealed to be Andre Siemers. This infuriated fellow contestant Taylor Selfridge who had already publicly declared her love for Andre.

This created somewhat of a rivalry between the two girls, something that the producers encouraged and played on for the cameras.
For their part, she did seem to have genuine chemistry with Andre, but she stated after the show aired that they were missing the big spark.

Although she attempted to keep a low profile after the show aired, she did participate in the promotional tour for the show as per her MTV contract once it aired.
In March of 2017, romance rumours began swirling around her, linking her to Bachelorette contestant Robby Hayes. The two were introduced by her mother, who works in an agency that works with both of them.
Robby was a contestant on season 12 of ABC’s The Bachelorette and placed in second. There were rumours that he would be chosen to be the Season 21 Bachelor, but that role went to Nick Viall.

Seeming to address the rumours of her romance, Kathryn posted a picture of herself and Robby to her Instagram account at an elephant enclosure with the caption Should we address the elephant in the room …”.
She has stated they are close, but are keeping things casual as he is being considered for Bachelor In Paradise. When asked how that would affect a potential relationship between the two, she simply stated that everything happens for a reason.
