McCabe is originally from Candia, New Hampshire. She has always been passionate about sports and enjoyed playing them when she was younger.
Not a very open person when she is away from the camera, she makes an effort to keep her personal life out of the limelight. However, it is known that she is in a relationship with an orthopedic surgeon, Matt Welsh. Matt proposed to her on a golf course!

When Chantel was young, she competed in a number of beauty pageants. She went on to attend the University of New Hampshire, where she studied broadcasting.

Career, Job, Salary and Net Worth :

While Chantel was in university, she decided to get a head start on her career as a broadcaster by taking a job at the New England Sports Network. She worked as the network’s online reporter and on-air broadcaster.

After graduating from college, she took a job in Boston as a host for an Independent Broadcasting Network called WBIN. She hosted the network’s UNH Athletic Events and created features in addition to covering online game content for a university hockey league called Hockey East.
While in Boston, she was also a reporter for the athletic department and newspaper for UNH and was part of the team that earned the newspaper several journalistic accolades.
Chantel then moved to Springfield, Massachusetts, and joined the ABC affiliate WGGB-TV where she worked as a General News Reporter. She covered important bulletins, finance, local politics, breaking news, and crime stories. McCabe also joined the CBS Sports Network and contributed to their magazine show, “Inside the MLL.”

McCabe left Springfield and relocated to Raleigh, North Carolina, where she joined the Fox Sports Carolinas team. She worked as a host for the NHL franchise, the Carolina Hurricanes’ pre-game show in addition to reporting and producing content from the rink-side at their games.
In 2016, she became part of the news team at the Golf Channel. She works as a reporter and anchor for the network’s Golf Central Daily News Show, and reports live from events such as the World Long Drive, the LPGA Tour, the PGA Tour, and NCAA Golf.

Chantel also works on special assignments and attends special events such as award shows during the year in addition to working as a contributor for the Morning Drive team and hosting the ‘Live From’ show on the Golf Channel’s digital platform.
In September 2019, she also started hosting the FORE1-1 golf podcast on Golf Channel. Here, Chantal interviews various personalities from the golfing world.

Chantel Mccabe DWI & DUI Incident :

While working in North Carolina, McCabe drove home drunk after enjoying a night out with some friends. She was stopped by police and arrested immediately after failing a sobriety test.
Chantel was charged with a DUI and promptly suspended by the Hurricanes Team. She was later reinstated but eventually cut her ties with the team and moved on to work as part of the Golf Channel, where she is still currently employed to this day.
