Early Career :

- Whitney would sift her way through the crowded stadium seats and choose contestants for small games and often found herself projected on the jumbotron with thousands of eyes on her at once. It was certainly good practice for her future on camera.
- Her first on-screen appearance was before an Arizona State vs. Oregon football game.

She was a regular customer at my counter downtown. I didn’t find her to be an extrovert, nor was she much of a conversationist – but I ALWAYS found her to be congenial! I choose only to think respectfully of her, and I’d like to think her thoughts are mutual.
She is a meteorologist, not a “weather girl” whatever that is. Do we call our guys that do this weather boys? Of course not. Let’s give them the professional respect they deserve.
I was delighted that she had a healthy child. I hope she’ll have another soon as it’s always great to have siblings to keep each other out of trouble. I’m a 79-year-old veteran that hopes to make it to 89.

I worked in local television news for 30 years. Lauren is absolutely the best by far local meteorologist. Nobody else even comes close.
