She got married to Bollywood actor Kumar Gaurav in 1984 and has two children with him named Saachi Kumar and Siya Kumar.
Her daughter Saachi, who has a diploma in fashion designing from SNDT University, is married to Kamal Amrohi’s grandson Bilal.

Namrata and her sister Priya were a pillar of strength for their brother Sanjay during his trials and tribulations with the law.
In the year 1994, when she and Priya had gone to meet Sanjay in jail to tie rakhi on Rakshabandhan, he gave them the two-rupee jail coupons he had earned during his stay there.
Namrata fondly remembers her parents and claims that they used to call each other jersey (an endearing term which meant to live in Hindi)

Even though Sanjay and Namrata were born two years apart, they were ‘best friends’ growing up. The relationship went through rough times when he decided to enter politics as a Samajwadi Party candidate.
The relation between the siblings, which had soured following Sanjay’s marriage to Manyata, was repaired after the birth of his twins.

He is the son of later Bollywood actor Rajendra Kumar. Everybody calls him by his pet name Bunty.
His claim to fame is the Bollywood blockbuster movie Love Story, in which he debuted along with actress Vijeta Pandit.

Though he had a spectacular debut, Kumar Gaurav became dormant since the early 1990s as he wasn’t getting any good acting assignments in Bollywood.
He entered into travel business in Maldives & also diversified into construction.

Controversies :

When Sanjay Dutt got married to Manyata, a couple of newspaper articles pointed out that even though both his sisters stayed in the same building as him, they had chosen not to attend his wedding.
