Alka’s name sprung into publicity after she and her then-partner Surendra Hiranandani started making public appearances. Surendra Hiranandani is the co-founder and Managing Director of the renowned construction company Hiranandani Group, along with his brother, Niranjan Hiranandani.
Initially, reluctant for the marriage, but later the family and Akshay Kumar himself gave their consent for it. The wedding was a lavish one and was a hot topic among the paparazzi. She is known to be her brother’s partner in crime. This notion gained publicity when a video showing the notoriety, both were up to, went viral, where she allegedly “slapped” him, on Raksha Bandhan.
There are more reasons apart from her association with the construction baron Hiranandani, which brought her into focus. She produced, along with her brother and another producer, Ashivini Yardi, a movie called Fugly, which received a mixed response from the critics and a cold one at the box office.
